Klaus
Haapaniemi

Designer

The magical Korento pattern designed by the artist Klaus Haapaniemi is now available in fashionable new blue tones. Shades of lilac, from dark to light, add warmth and softness to the main colours, sea blue and turquoise. The intensive and rich colours represent strength, calm and clarity. As always, the illusion Haapaniemi creates of a magical forest is so strong that you might even be able to smell the flowers and hear the swirling dragonflies. Korento pattern is conjuring up the memories of warm summer days.

Klaus Haapaniemi is known for a highly original style that draws inspiration from nature and folklore. Haapaniemi’s Finnish roots are often highlighted in the international media; even the Kalevala has been mentioned. Indeed, it is easy to find references to folklore in Haapaniemi’s illustrations; Slavic and Japanese influences are also strongly present. Blue Korento is a seasonal product and is on until the end of 2012.
