A slow Saturday breakfast is a relaxing way to leave a busy week behind. A little bit of planning helps to make it perfect.
Freshly baked bread tastes great. The flavour will be even richer if you make the dough the previous evening and leave it in the fridge overnight. In the morning roll the dough into shape and put the loaf in the oven.
On the bread, mashed avocados are a healthier spread than butter. To make sure the avocados are ripe at breakfast time, it's best to get them a few days early and leave them in a paper bag. Avocados are also an excellent cocktail of vitamins when simply cut in half and eaten plain.
With the table full of food and drink, it's easy to just let the morning pass in peace.
