Mats Broberg & Johan Ridderstråle

Mats Broberg and Johan Ridderstråle studied interior architecture together at the Konstfack in Stockholm graduating in 2006.

Broberg and Ridderstråle began their long-running collaboration during their student years. Within design and architecture they were especially interested in symbols and archetypes; the way people give meaning to objects and phenomena. The main source of their inspiration has always been everyday life.

Broberg’s and Ridderstråle’s diploma work granted them a scholarship. They have also received the Young Swedish Design award with the Gulliver lamp and the Wallpaper magazine’s design award with the Cone loudspeaker.
