Ceramic artist Kim Simonsson (born 1974, Helsinki) has attracted widespread international acclaim for his ceramic art. Simonsson was selected as the Young Artist of the Year in 2004. Simonsson makes figurative sculptures whose subjects are drawn from popular culture. In 2009 he received the Didrichsen Foundation’s Pro Arte award in recognition of his technical expertise and individual expression.
